In our waters we have a lot of large, delicious crabs.  These can be taken in traps or you may collect them by hand in the evening when it is getting a bit dark (from mid August to mid November).  As it is getting darker they feed on small shells on land or just under the water surface.  You use a torch to find them and collect them with a rake – this is great fun!  No additional fee.
